Club Commissioner - Cristopher Zelada

Cristopher Zelada is now entering his second year in ASB, previously Cris was appointed the role of Diversity and Inclusions commissioner where he worked closely with fellow asb members as well as other clubs and organizations at DMHS to plan and execute events with the primary goal of promoting a diverse and inclusive environment for all students at DMHS. This year Cris will be taking on the role of Cubs and Organizations commissioner and aims to make sure clubs get more opportunities to get involved in developing our school culture.

Diversity Inclusion Commissioner - Stefan Jovic

Stefan Jovic is in his first year of ASB as the Diversity Inclusion commissioner. Since he has no other experience of being in the ASB cabinet, he wants to create a great experience and environment for new and prior students, with different backgrounds. He wants DMHS to have a welcoming environment by focusing on accessibility, representation, and cultural sensitivity. By doing this he plans to make events with people from different backgrounds to show him what their representation means to them.

Sports Coordinator - Guillermo Flores

Guillermo Flores is in his first year in ASB as the Sports Coordinator. Since this is his first year in ASB, he is eager to create a welcoming and uniting environment at DMHS through sports centered events. As Sports Coordinator, Guillermo will take on roles such as planning Pep Rallies and sports tournaments like March Madness and The Soccer Tournament. He also will be working directly with Mr. Lee, the Sports Director at DMHS, to collaborate on said sports events. The incorporation of Sports Coordinator in ASB is imperative to expand the recognition of sports teams and athletes, since Downtown Magnets is mostly appreciated for their academic success. Guillermo’s ultimate goal as Sports Coordinator is to evolve the athletic prestige and begin developing a process that will allow DMHS to not only be admired for academics, but also for its sports.
